Heaven

Was  a girl I met on the
subway
She knew not of the difference
between

Night or day
Or child's play
But whether or not she'll make
It past seven.

Heaven

Was a girl with cold, dark
circles
under her eyes, and bruises on her
cheeks

She's spent weeks
On low peaks
Since her supplier's been getting' lazy
Wakin' at eleven.

Heaven

Was a girl with no yesterday, and no
tomorrow
An angel who slept in old, dirty
beds

Once turning heads
her body's dead
And all that's left of her is broken wings and empty
bottles of bourbon.
This is rather, my view on what Heaven is like to me.

Something unexpected, in a dark, cold place
but people's view on 'her' is sick and twisted...
and they've broken the beautiful thing, that 'Heaven' used to be.

I'm not sure if that makes sense, but...that's just my view on it.

so, meet Heaven.
Don't be shy,
she wont judge.
